LIFE’s Community-Based Program offers carefully selected 3:1 ratio groups that participate in meaningful, community-based activities. These groups are often seen volunteering with local non-profit agencies or working in neighborhood stores, contributing in real, impactful ways.
Our program is designed to provide instructional support that empowers individuals to actively engage in the community. Through volunteer work, vocational training, and paid employment opportunities, participants are supported in reaching their personalized goals and building greater independence.
The services take place in integrated settings throughout San Diego County, based on each Individuals preference. Whether in a workplace, or volunteer site, LIFE is committed to helping individuals thrive in the environments that matter most to them.
Our volunteers with disabilities light up the community with their kindness, heart, and hard work! Whether helping at events or lending a hand at local spots, they show that every act of service makes a big difference — and comes with a smile!
Sharing lunch with friends and being out and about brings smiles, laughs, and great memories! Whether it's grabbing a bite or exploring the community together, every moment is a chance to connect, enjoy, and have fun.
Volunteering at food banks and around the community is a great way to give back and spread kindness! Our volunteers with disabilities proudly lend a hand, share smiles, and show that helping others makes everyone stronger — and happier — together.
